Day 2: 28/12/2007

woke up at 6am to prepare to leave by 830
total crap..
all the days that ive been here, ive been eating the same, exact stuff
guess they have those few dishes to offer in the mountain and country areas.

this is our tour group's bus
kinda old looking both on the outside and inside
actually its only 6 months old...
todays journey was to travel to '海螺沟-heiluogou'
the journey is expected to be from 830am TO 830pm
woots and there u have it
today's trip...lol

Day 4: 29/12/2007

reached 海螺沟, '长征大酒店-The Long March Hotel'
inside the main lobby is a big potrait of MAO ZE DONG and a picture showing the red army crossing luding brigde, which is damn cool

again, we've to wake up very early at 530
ate breakfast in 20 mins and off we are to the foot of the mountain

theres this big temple thats so magnificent where our bus parked
inside the temple is a hotel called the temple hotel, rofl

the waiting time for the bus up the mountain was really long

the mean time, took alot of pictures with stupid translations which i will show at the last post, all of it
the bus up the mountain was also VERY long

the total travelling time up half the mountain was 2 hours...

finally there was some signs of snow, real ones
it was snowing flakes, beautiful
it tasted sweet, really sweet
after that short toilet break
the journey up continued

ok forget it

the whole trip was practically the same as the 2 pictures above
there were 4 bases along the way up the mountain

just now the place where the toilet break was is the 2nd base

when we reached the 3rd base
AHH COLD! - 12 deg C
crazy lah, making worst is the strong wind
if your there i tell you your face is gone

took a cable car up to the 4th base
this is where the real thing is

a signboard telling you what im seeing

from the cable car

from an outpost at the cable car station of the 4th base
it was REALLY beautiful, so beautiful
read the signboard above the know about the glacier

after a mere 10 mins
i ran off to the cablecar station, cmi the cold
bought a glass of wulong and chysantamum tea, and some oil fried bread
the old man managing the tea shop was kind
he let me in the counter and share the fire with me(its at my feet)
but it was of effect at all, still freezing

at bout 230pm, we went down to the 2nd base to enjoy our lunch(same food again..)
theres a hot spring beside the hotel where we were having our lunch

the day ended on yet another bus trip down the mountain and back to the hotel
rest of the night was tv
